1. What was your biggest first-day fear?
- Aw man. It feels like so long ago. I don't remember actually being scared before the first day of high school. But once the first day began, I realized that I was totally lost and I was worried that I would have no classes with my friends.
2. How did you conquer it?
- I made friends immediately with this girl in my first period class.
3. What’s your number-one school survival secret?
- Stay cool. Meaning, DON'T START DRAMA!
4. How do you stay organized at school?
- I have an agenda book (that I keep losing) but it's really helpful to mean anyway. I always jot down everything in there from homework to important dates. And I like to use bright pens and highlighters. They make writing notes more enjoyable and more easier to read.
5. What are the 5 best ways to make a new friend?
- Be funny.
- Compliment them.
- Join clubs.
- SHARE. Sharing is caring.
- And be overall friendly.
6. What is your go-to first-day outfit?
- Well, my first day outfit this year was a uniform (because my school has uniforms. I've been wearing uniforms for 3 years now). But for my sophomore year, I'm thinking about wearing a skirt/capris, tank-top with a small cardigan, converse, and fingerless gloves.
7. What are your 5 resolutions for next year?
-Try to get homework done as early as I can.
- Join more clubs.
- Get some service hours in.
- Make newer and more diverse friends.
- Get healthier.
8. What’s your fave back to school-themed book, movie or song?
- Okay, this isn't really a school-themed song but 1, 2, 3 Turn Around by Christian TV Band just reminds me of back-to-school season since it was played in the JC Penney back-to-school commercials.
9. What do you want to change about how you get ready for school every day?
- I want to start using a little make-up and get more accessorized. Since the school I'm going to next year is going to have no uniform, I want to be able to use my wardrobe sensibly.
10. What are you most worried about for the upcoming school year?
- I'm worried about making new friends. I'm worried about being able to keep up with the school work. And I'm worried about how my friends from middle school will think of me.
