My Wishes Are Finally Coming True.

So today was the first day of the summer program that my parents enrolled me in. And I can say that it really was not bad at all. The counselors are all pretty and nice and they psyched me up with all the stuff they're gonna have there.

On Mondays and Wednesdays, we stay at the church (where the program is being held) and do things like Character Development, SAT Prep, and any special classes. You have a choice between Art, Dance, and Theater. Theater seems like it would be fun but I know I'll prefer doing Art.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays, we have internship. And I didn't know it until today. But we get PAID. Or at least I think I will. Some of the girls that were in the room with me seemed to be there for a totally different thing than I was. So I probably will have to do a free internship. I don't know. But it would be nice to get paid. And if it's true, that means I'll be making minimum wage, I think. $5.25 an hour but we're only working two days. If I was 16, I'd make two dollars more. The disadvantages of late summer birthdays, right? And the money goes into a debit card, which I think can be used online.
NOW I CAN BUY ALL THE THINGS. SnorgTees, Forever21, Amazon. HAPPINESS!

From what I know, we will be mostly doing basic, easy stuff like secretarial work or computer inputting and stuff. I wouldn't mind doing secretarial stuff but I'd rather input stuff on the computer. I'm good with that stuff you know. Stuff...

One thing I noticed was that most of the girls in that class were from DC. I think there were like about 3 or 4 that actually went to schools in Maryland. Yeah, I totally gave away where I lived. MAAHH HAAA! So naturally, a lot of them had ghetto tendencies. And a lot of them had bad attitudes in the morning. It ruined my mood. Already, some of the girls were bad mouthing the teacher.

But things chilled as the day came a long. But it annoyed how this one girl always had something to say about EVERYTHING. Like, why are we doing this? This test is too hard? Is this like school? Blah blah blah blah blah. It's called work. You can't get the paper with out the work, you know.
Other than that, there were some girls who were hilarious and pretty sweet. They aren't all bad, which I have to remind myself because I know I hang out with people who have this prejudice against "ghetto" people. And yeah, I have some prejudices myself. But I'm gonna have to lose that.

But there was this one girl who said she went to some engineering high school or whatever. But I swear, this girl sounded so dumb. She talked slow and confused. And yeah, she was pretty or whatever. But she sounded like she didn't know where she was.

After the program was over, my head was throbbing. Probably from staying in one classroom one day and processing all the information. I felt sick. Everything was fast paced and yeah...

My sister didn't like it though and I can't understand why. I think it's because she's actually gonna have to do work and maybe the work is hard. I don't know. She's not telling me anything. But she's gonna have to get used to it.

We get to go out for lunch if we want to so maybe I'll buy her a Subway one of these days. Psyched, you guys. I. Am. Psyched.

I'm just glad to have something to do over the summer. When someone asks me what I did this summer, I don't have to say, "Nufin'. Oh well, I slept a lot. And read and stuff." NO. I can say I did an internship and I got PAPERR. A lot of kids are doing summer jobs, according to Facebook. I don't feel left out anymore.

I really need to get my book list done soon. And I have Calculus work to do. And I know the AP Physics Tutorials will be up some time soon. UGGHH. I just want to sleep. Not right now. But the thought of doing this stuff makes me wanna sleep until it goes away.
