My First Days of H-E-Double Hockeystick

So it all started when I woke up really early. I set the alarm on my phone for 5:50 AM. I have never woken up so early to get to school. My high school (let's call it Picnic High School) starts at 7:45 AM! And the bus comes around 6:50. That's before I even woke up when I was in middle school!

Okay, even though I go to a public high school, I have to wear a uniform. Which sucks right? But I have a PERFECTLY good argument as to why wearing a uniform is not that bad actually.

Uniforms Are Perfect Not That Bad Because:
  • Um, you don't have to worry about finding something to wear to school EVERY morning
  • You won't get tormented or harassed for wearing the same thing twice because like, EVERYONE is technically wearing the same thing more than once... technically.
  • You spend less money. You just need to buy 5 outfits to wear for like 180 days. And who doesn't like to spend less money? I mean with this economy you know... You gotta do what you gotta do sometimes. [Whatever it is you have to do. Because I have no idea. I just put that in there because it sounded right to say.] You get to spend it on better stuff like iPods and PSPs or whatever kids like these days.
I mean, there are reasons why uniforms suck too. Like:
  •  The pants come in ugly styles. Some just don't look right. I spent all of middle school wearing tapered khaki pants. The ones that are bigger on the top and get smaller as it goes down. Ugh. But I fixed that and got some Dickies. My problem isn't totally gone because the pants are a bit too long on me and give me pantie lines. =l
  • Tucking in your shirt. I HATE tucking in my shirt. Okay, I don't have the flattest stomach. It's not flat at all really. And tucking in my shirt doesn't help with that issue.
  • You have to wear the same thing everyday. Sometimes I just feel like putting on some skinny jeans and a nice t-shirt and actually look pretty to school. WHICH COMES TO MY LAST OBJECTION!
  • You have to try harder to look prettier. Well, at least I do. Some girls come to school with tight TIGHT polo shirts and TIGHT TIGHT khaki skinny jeans. Looking all hot or whatever. It kinda sucks. I have to depend on my face which is not my best feature. [heh.] My forehead is a little high and my eyebrows are a little wild. I'm not ugly but I'm not drop dead gorgeous.
Meh, I still don't mind uniforms that much though. Okay, back to the story! So I get all dressed up, eat my breakfast, put a little gloss on, fix up my new hair do... I'm feeling so good. My mom walks me up to the bus stop. [Yes my mom walked me to my bus stop. You can't really blame her. I mean, her little girl is going to high school!]
I see two Spanish kids sitting on the steps of the church. Because my bus stop is at a church. Just in case you were wondering. I don't know them so I stand off to the side awkwardly waiting for the bus. Momentarily, a bus whizzes by. The Spanish kids at the steps look at it as it passes by and start standing up. I stand there awkwardly.

"Hey, I think we missed our bus." the girl tells me. The boy isn't even facing me. What the heck?
"You mean that bus that passed by was our bus?" I asked.
"No, the bus came by before and told us blah blah blah something something and something else blah blah."

Sorry, I forgot what she said. I didn't really understand what she was saying to tell you the truth. The only thing I understood was that I missed my bus, on the first day of school. Which sucked because I wasn't even late for it. And I didn't understand like, HOW? My dad drove me to school instead.

And OMG that place was crowded like I don't know what. Okay so basically, Picnic High was in a whole. Like seriously. In a middle of a hole. So you have to drive down a steep hill to get in and drive up a steep hill to get out. I feel sorry for those kids that have to walk to school. Because of the traffic, kids were seriously getting out of the car, right in the middle of the traffic, and walking into the building. My dad dropped me off at the back of the building and I went in.
