Being a Seventh-Day Adventist.

I really want to start this post but I never get the chance. But I'm forcing myself to right now. Even though it's 10:39 PM and my parents are gonna start saying things. I'm even in the kitchen doing this. My stupid brother ate Cinnamon Toast Crunch and left wet pieces of cereal all over the ground so now I'm standing.

Hmm, my box doesn't look like this.
I'm just gonna start out with, I go to church on Saturday. That's probably the most significant part of being a Seventh-Day Adventist. When people ask me why I say, "Because you're supposed to. That's what the Bible says." I don't really ever go in depth about it. But most all my friends who do go to church, go on Sunday. This is actually a sin. I've gone in depth with one of my friends about it. I told her that the Bible says that you should go to church on the Seventh Day, which is Saturday, not Sunday. But the Catholic priests from back ago changed it for his own convenience. I think. It went something like that. I haven't heard the explanation in a long time ago. But the Evangelist meetings have really helped. They talk about the Second Coming when Jesus will come back on Earth to take all those who believe in him and take them to heaven. Like the events leading up to it. You have this whole new outlook on things after.

But I've never been able to take the next step and get baptized. I don't know why I'm so scared about it. I guess because I know I have to try and give up the sinful things I do and tell people about God like He wants me to. Or maybe because I'm shy. I don't like too much attention and I feel like everyone is gonna be watching me closer or look at me in a different way or something. You have to get up in front of a whole church and get dipped in water while everyone tries to take pictures of you. And then everyone will try to talk to me. I'm really not a social person. =/ But I still wanna get baptized. I know I have to take the next step eventually. But I feel pressured to at the same time.

I dunno. There's lots of things they discuss at the Evangelist meetings. The last time I went, they talked about cults. The preacher [not my pastor] told us that whenever we take the word of any preacher without looking at the Bible ourselves, we're falling prey to cults. Cults are groups that try to lead you away from the truth and make you a part of a false religion. Something like that. All of the cults that the preacher talked about all ended in tragedy. The cult leaders convinced all his members to commit mass suicide, telling them that it was their way of escaping to a better place.

Okay, I'll write more later because my neck is really hurting right now.
