Yesterday was a pretty nice day. I went to my summer program and we had a field trip down to the National Art Museum and the National Natural History Museum. I've actually been to the second one before, when I was in 8th grade. But the art museum was new.
I'm such a nerd. I actually really enjoy museums. And I would totally go to a museum by myself just so that I could look at each and every object as much as I need to. Read the names and take pictures and admire. Every time I go to a museum, I always feel rushed because the other kids are just not into it or we just don't have time.
Yes, I am and will be that girl.
So the group of girls I was hanging out with were a pretty kooky but hilarious group of girls. But unfortunately, they are the stereotypical teenage girls who go around oggling at teenage boys and giggling like maniacs. I was embarassed.
When we were in the Natural History Museum, I agreed that we should go boy watching. And then when we found a cute boy, we were gonna go up to him and say some weird stuff. I was totally fine with that since I would never see the guy again in my life. What happens in DC, stays in DC.
So we went on an elevator to go up to the higher level of the museum. And suddenly the doors open and a guy is sitting there operating the buttons. And everyone is silent and still. The guy is like, "Are you guys riding?" Something like that. Me, I was just waiting for everyone to go inside.
We went into the elevator and we all knew what we were all thinking. It was silent at first and then suddenly, everyone started laughing. Not I. I was too mature for that. Sike. I chuckled a bit but I was freakin' embarassed honestly. The guy knew we were all a bunch of teenage girls crushing hard. I mean, the dude was cute, but ugh... Not to the point of making a fool out of myself.
I sound annoyed but it was actually pretty funny.
We ate at the art museum (which was actually the first museum we went to) and I just bought a pizza and but a vanilla pudding for someone else. But I was pissed at how expensive the pizza was. I would've much rather gone to McDonalds and got myself a snack wrap. But the pizza was big and pretty filling so it wasn't that bad. But still. TOO EXPENSIVE.
There really isn't much to say... I didn't actually want to say much. But I am enjoying my summer. I'm actually busy. And once I get home, I sleep and lay in bed. A combination of both since I can't sleep for one hour straight, it seems.
I didn't go to church today because my hair was a hot mess and my mom went to work. I'm about to go to the library and I have my grandma's hat on. So it's cool now.
BYE.
