So today, I had to wake up EARLY *gasp* to go to my brother's orientation. It's not like I had to. But I wanted to. Honestly... But after going to a few classes, I slightly regretted it. Probably because I was the only Junior there (which wasn't really the big issue) but I had to explain why I was in the class in the first place and meh.
But it wasn't too bad. My brother's Global Issues and first period A-day class is my old German teacher so I thought that was pretty cool. He said that he still uses my board game that I created as an example for his classes. I can't even remember how that thing looked like. But it's cool that someone enjoys it.
The school had a few changes. Some teachers switched classes but a lot of them had the same classes. They painted parts of the building too. Apparently, the 9th graders get to use iPads in class so that's pretty cool for them. The freshmen weren't even as annoying as I thought they would be but that's probably because they are nervous about being in a big new school. Hopefully, the freshmen at my school are like that.
I saw people I recognized but no one I liked.
My sister had orientation too and I was planning on going to her middle school especially because they built whole new school and I really wanted to see it but apparently it was parents only. But the outside is spectacular. It's rusty red and bright red. In a good way. But I don't like how the name of the middle school is in green but whatever floats their boat. It was far superior to the old middle school (where I went).
I didn't get to go inside so that sucked. But it's whatever. I'll go one day. Though I NEVER went to the middle school when my brother was there.
Of course, I didn't have orientation because I'm a junior but I wish I could've came to help out with the upcoming freshmen. I think people are also planning for the upcoming spirit week too. I don't know. I'm just ready to be crafty and helpful right now. I hope they ask me to be to do something maybe next summer. I wonder how you even sign up for that. I remember I had a mentor but I never talked to her except for that one day. I didn't need her after that anyway.
There's still some things I really wanna get before school starts including:
- One more pair of jeans that's not traditional blue. Maybe straight-legged instead of skinny jean.
- Red canvas shoes
- A bracelet
- A necklace
- One black cool t-shirt. From a thrift store preferably so that I can cut it up.
- A lace tanktop
- Underwear
- Pack of gum
- Small hand sanitizer
- Small hand lotion
I just realized my mistake of getting white shoes. They will probably get muddy very easily and I can see myself wearing them a thousand times. I probably need to get another pair of black sneakers because my Converse are looking ratchet.
I don't know what's wrong with me. I've been feeling so lethargic. I guess I know why. My sleep patterns are SO off. Okay, so last night, I went to bed probably at 4 AM. Maybe later. Then I woke up at 7:30 AM. I went to my brother's orientation and when I came back, I went to bed again after eating. So that was around 12 PM or 1 PM. Then I woke up at 2 PM. It's 4:14 PM right now and our tutor is coming at 6:00 PM. After three hours of learning, I'll probably wanna take another nap.
And guess the devastating news I found out last night?
Apparently, my bus arrives at 7:36 PM. Are you getting it? 7:36 PM. I would be putting my shoes on at 7:36 PM. And if I happened to be on time, I'd be eating breakfast. I would not be thinking about walking into a bus at this time. So that means I'll have to wake up at 6:30 AM now. And that suucks. I probably shouldn't complain because my brother and my sister both have it worse. But it can never be possible with what my sleep patterns look like right now.
So today, after tutoring, I'll eat dinner and go straight to bed. Actually, I'll have to get to work on my mom's school work first but I'll only spend an hour or an hour and a half on it and go to bed. I know if I sleep, I'll wake up at 1 AM in the morning which would be horrible. But instead of turning on the internet and ending up going to bed at 5:00 AM in the morning, I'll read a book.
Is there anything else to mention? Probably not.
