Colleges Sucking My D***

Today was supposed to be a happy day.

I went to the computer lab to waste some time before the bell rang for school to start and I decided to check my e-mail. Waiting for me was an e-mail from Drexel University Admissions with the subject line: Your Admission Decision. The gist of the e-mail was self-explanatory from the subject.

My decision had been made and I was to go log-in to the portal and find out if I got accepted or not.

Well, my heart was beating a bit hard and I logged in and I scrolled across the page. And I scrolled back up and I would've missed it if I hadn't gone a bit slower. Right in a small box in the mid-lower section of the page was my admission decision:

Drexel University is pleased to offer you admission. An official decision letter has been sent to you by mail.

And to make things short. Following it right after was a link to the Accepted Applicants page and then the link to pay to enroll.

It was so anti-climatic. I was expecting at least a nice e-mail like Fordham had did. But I guess I'll just wait for the actual envelope to come.

I still cannot comprehend why schools are accepting me with my mediocre status but I'm glad they are. So that's 2/16 (or so) of acceptances out of all the schools I applied to. By the end of this month, hopefully I'll know about 3 more schools.

Oh btw. I got a scholarship of $14000. Considering the fact that overall tuition is a bit over $40,000 a year, that's nothing.

Anyway, I can fill you in about why my day wasn't as good as I wanted it to be in a brief list.
  • Kids in the hallway were acting extra stupid today. I still cannot comprehend why kids think it's acceptable to block half the hallway during the transitioning time from period to period. If I had the audacity, I would curse a b**** or two.
  • I made a fool of myself a few times today. I don't want to explain.
  • I missed my bus and had to walk all the way to the other bus stop which isn't like 5 miles to the stream long but it's a good six-minute walk in the cold and I have asthma.
  • I somehow lost my university ID and couldn't ride the shuttle so I walked ALL the way home. Apparently, that's a 15-20 minute walk? Maybe less because I walking pretty slow. But my asthma was acting up really badly and I was still shivering an hour later.
And I guess it all seems arbitrary now. But I was not in the best mood when I came home.

I also tried to make carrot muffins but they didn't come out as good as my last muffins did. And I still have some stuff to do and I don't wanna do it. And I looked at myself in the computer screen and realized how fat and ugly I am. There's absolutely no redeeming qualities about my face.

I just want a college to give me a free freakin' ride so I don't have to even freakin' worry about doing stupid scholarships. Then I'll go to medical school and that'll be the end of my life.

Btw, I don't think I'd mind going to Drexel. I really like the school colors. It's in the city but I'm not sure if it's a strictly urban campus. If it is, then I may be a bit iffy about it but we'll see.
