- I "finished" the SAT Subject tests on Saturday. Probably missed a good 15 questions on both tests but whatever.
- I danced at this memorial event for Chinua Achebe in Washington D.C. on Sunday. Didn't get home until about 11 PM.
- Forgot my wallet in my aunt's bag. The wallet with the $16 or so dollars and the coupons I was supposed to use to buy the shoes. And the aunt lives like 40 minutes away. So f*** my life...
I don't really wanna go into any of them. The Chinua Achebe event was actually kind of nice. I think our dance was really unorganized but okay, at the same time. I actually tried to dance and everything. Apparently , it's on YouTube too but I won't watch that video. I probably made a fool of myself.
They served "Nigerian" food. At least I think they were trying to. We didn't get to meet the first array of food. But they sent us a plate of plantain and these panini chicken ball things I've never eaten before in my life. We were around for the second array. They had suya beef on a stick, lamb meatballs (I think they were lamb), chin chin, puff puff, and crackers witefh dip. I felt nauseous after eating my fourth meatball and I didn't know at the time it was lamb. The suya beef wasn't as good as it could've been. The puff puff was reasonable. I tasted as it should and it tasted good. The chin chin was good as well. Just too crunchy for me to enjoy at such a fancy event.
And that was the end of the food.
I'm sorry to say, but I was getting bored and restless, like a child. I was just tired and I didn't feel like hearing me tell anecdotes about their dear Chinua Achebe, the famous African author. I didn't wanna hear poems. I didn't want to see a masquerade. I didn't wanna see a play. I wanted to go home, use the internet, and sleep.
That's enough of that.
I stayed after school today. I only did so because I wanted to buy make-up. And it just so happened that my friend was staying after to audition for this improv group at my school called Aloniz. Really, she only did it for extra credit. I decided to stay with her for moral support. It seems as if a lot of other people were also attempting to stay with their friends as well. We ended up finding out that it was a closed audition and it was a bunch of waiting around for them. My other friends actually went and auditioned themselves. I was too scared and nervous to do so. I mean, staying after wasn't that bad. I ended up talking with these two guys and we were having deep conversations and stuff. But I was hungry and tired and honestly, staying after school is NOT that fun.
I ended up only buying mascara because I didn't have enough money.
I may not need eyeliner if I'm able to get it sharpened and I saw a eye liner sharpener in my mom's bag the other day. So I may be set with that. I'm gonna have to end up stealing a $20 bill after all and buying those shoes on Wednesday. Unless I can get my mom to buy me the shoes tomorrow when she picks me up for the internship. I can also get my dad to give me money to buy this PERFECT sweater I saw at Target.
Anyway, it looks like my mall trip isn't gonna be the mall trip of my dreams. I'm not saying this in a totally bad way. But there are a few of my friends that don't wanna go all the way to Wheaton. They're the ones that don't understand that we'll have so much more fun at a better mall. The thing is, if they don't go, I still have friends to go with. I'll go with all girls if I have to. And it might even be more fun since we can actually go to any stores we want to. (I still want my guy friends to go nevertheless.) And it's also gonna rain. OF COURSE it's gonna rain on Friday. OF COURSE IT WOULD.
At first, I was thinking of bringing about $80 and shopping until I drop. But now, it seems that amount might become just $40 or $50, at most. And I don't really care about looking drop dead gorgeous anymore. I just wanna have a fun day with my friends, whoever those friends may be.
Oh. They're also having a pool day on Thursday. I could probably go if I wanted to but I really DO NOT wanna go because my body is not in the pool-going shape. No need to be a disgrace, you know? Maybe over the summer, I'll go to the pool. But right now, f*** no.
So let's stop talking about me for a moment.
Remember Mysterious Indian Guy? I mentioned him before. This cutie of a guy. Very alternative and shy. The exemplification of the sexy brooding mysterious musician? Well, my friends and I are trying to set him up with my friend. A small cutie of a girl. I even went so far as to skip my Calculus with no pass, to see if I can help her out. Luckily, my other friend was also there to help.
Okay, this girl did such a good job. She tried to make conversation. She asked him to the pool and the movies. But I swear, this boy was being SO freakin' difficult. He could've at least tried to talk back. He could've acted interested. This girl was TRYING. My friend said that outside of school, he acted all different. Funny and flirty even. If that's the case, his whole demeanor pisses me off. He was acting like a borderline douche and I'm not sure if it's because my other friend and I were there or what. I almost want her to stop pursuing him because if the guy is wishy washy about what he wants, I don't think you want a guy like that. The guy should be the desperate one. Not the girl.
And to think I thought he was cute. Smh.
