Park-To-Rose: Day 19 [My Nicknames]

"Day 19- Nicknames you have; why do you have them"

I really don't feel in the mood to do this. But I wanted to at least get the post started. So these are nicknames I have:

  • Jessy
  • Mommy
  • Chi Chi
  • Snickers
  • Skittles
  • Shay-Shay
  • Ashley
  • Red Apple
So I have the nickname Jessy because my name is Jessica and the shortened version of it is obviously Jessy. Yes, this could come off sounding like the guy name of Jesse but I like Jessy. So MEH!

My dad is the one who calls me Mommy because he believes I'm the reincarnation of his mother. It's really not as creepy as people think. I guess I'm used to it. I don't mind. I got perfume on Mother's Day.

Chi Chi is just a variation from my middle name. Which is a very Nigerian middle name.

One of my friends calls me Snickers because we were thinking up nicknames for each other and since everyone always says that I laugh a lot... she came up with Snickers.

I got the name Skittles from when I was in 8th grade and we went to DC for a week. I remember I was wearing a whole bunch of colors one of those days and one of the kids who was a 7th grader decided to call me Skittles from that day on. I met a lot of new people from all over the country. And the 7th grader who came up with the nickname actually went to my school but I had never noticed him until that trip. In fact, I went to DC exactly one year from now. It was in May. It feels like it wasn't so long ago though.

I got the name Shay-Shay from this dude I met at the DC trip. He thought I looked like I had a ghetto name like Shaniqua or Shanaynay or something. So yeah...

One of my bi-friends calls me Ashley because he thought my name was Ashley. So I had to keep reminding him it wasn't for awhile. He's knows my name now though.

I got the name Red Apple back in 7th grade because there was a time when I always had my hair in red. No matter what hairstyle it was.
